The Bass or Electric Bass is found in every country in the world, and in most genres of music. Based on a design hybrid of the guitar and bass violin, the bass provides the low-frequency sounds of the music. Low-frequency sounds add warmth and unity to the harmonic content of music. In physical terms the sound creates long-wavelength tones. These tones act as the fundamental sound, the basic sound over which all the other sounds resonate. Simply put the bass makes music sound good. Without the bass music can be annoying, discordant and unpleasant even when it is well-played.
Learning to play bass is like learning for all musical instruments and singing. When you play music every day you get better at playing music! And music is made with other people. To learn to play the best thing you can do is find good musicians to play with, and start making music!
For professional tuition from a qualified, experienced teacher and professional musician please send your contact details via the Information Request Form. You will need a bass of course, the will to learn and the drive to succeed. With all three now is the time to make music!
